I am using Shorten for Mac to expand files, Fetch to grab them from the ftp. When I grab individual tracks off the http, I can expand them no problem.
Using Fetch, I can lock into the fttp site and download effectively, yet when I use shn for mac to expand, Shorten will often quit stating "Shorten unexpectedly quit because of type 2 error"

Any help would be appreciate. I checked in the past forums and couldn't find anything particularly valuable to my problem, so thanks for the help.

Jamie...I follow the exact same procedure you follow on Mac OS9 with fetch and shorten. Allocate some additional memory to Shorten and that should take care of the problem.

I'm pretty sure a Type 2 error is related to memory. I'd try bumping up the amount of RAM you're allocating to Shorten (highlight the icon, hit Apple-I and increase the number in the "Preferred Size" box)...
